WHAT’S HAPPENING IN 2024?

There’s just over a month to go now before the Carnival parade sets the scene for the Carnival Weekend 2024. The Carnival committee and HCR104fm are collaborating to bring you this fantastic community family weekend. Theh parade will make its way down from the town to the Riverside Park on Saturday 10th August. Huntingdon’s amazing 2 day Carnival and Live in the Park festival is a free entry event for everyone to enjoy, young and old alike. But it won’t be Carnival unless you are there!

If you would like to join in the parade, there’s still time to register – go to the “Get Involved” page here on our website and press the “join the procession” button for details. Each year the carnival procession has got more colourful and better dressed than the year before. There is a prize too for the best dressed entrant and a number of other prizes in other categories. The Mayor of Huntingdon, Cllr Kyle Brockett, will present the prize in the Carnival Arena once the parade has arrived at the Riverside Park.

There’s also still time to register for charity or trade stall, so download the form and send it off today. You will need to send other documents along with form so do read it carefully.

We have had confirmation from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight that we will be honoured with a flypast on both days of the Carnival. On both Saturday & Sunday it will be the splendid Hurricane.

This year’s LIVE IN THE PARK has a great line up of local talent. Do come down and bring your chairs or blankets to sit and enjoy some old favourites and some brand new acts. A great open air day of music. The food outlets and some of the stalls and fair ground rides will still be with us.

And all this is FREE!

See you on the 10th & 11th August – Riverside Park – come and join us!
